Follows rather closely the author’s The Book of Israel (Chicago, c1882), but is now printed in a smaller font. Contains altered as well as added text, and placement of the illustrations has changed; e.g., the multi-color title page of The Book of Israel is between p. 154 and p. 155 in The Book of Wisdom. Unlike The Book of Israel, this edition has "A List of Authors" (2 p. at end).
